Anne + Paul : Dana Point Wedding

August 17, 2010   |

Wedding

When I first met Anne and Paul, it was days before Christmas. People were buzzing around me, rushing to get somewhere with patience running low. But not Anne and Paul. For an engaged couple about to get married in less than 7 months, they were pretty calm. I went through my presentation where both sat quietly, digesting all the information, often chuckling shyly at something outrageous I’ve said. One thing I know for sure is, if I can make you laugh within minutes of meeting me, we’re off to a good start ;)

Seven months later, they said their I do’s. What makes me happier is the fact that Anne and Paul allotted a full hour for portraits, and even decided to do a First Look before the ceremony. My kind of clients!

This has got to be one of my favorite images to date! I love how Anne’s veil moved with the wind.

If you are a bride and considering adding a second shooter to your package, I can’t recommend it enough. While I was shooting the image above, my second shooter Jacob was off to the side shooting the image below.

I love how a groom always has a smile when his bride is coming down the aisle to meet him. Paul looks almost giddy to me :)

And while the guests were having hors d’oeuvres, we snuck out for more photos!

I love, love, love how they look at each other! And Anne, why are you so pretty?

I truly enjoyed working with Jacob! He was always looking at me making sure he wasn’t in the way, and he always went for an angle totally different from mine. This below is his.

After a while, Anne changed to her Áo dài during the traditional table visits to personally thank the guests and receive awesome gifts!

There was a whole lot of dancing at this wedding! I love how their guests were boogieing like it’s nobody’s business. And of course, not only was I in the dance floor… I was IN the circle ;)

Here’s a funny image of Paul getting grossed out by a hairly leg. Definitely not Anne’s, haha!

Huong + Thien : Bridal Portraits

August 14, 2010   |

Bridal

When I photographed Huong and Thien’s engagement session in Catalina about a month ago, they decided to upgrade their session to include some Bride & Groom portraits. It’s a great idea especially when you have limited time to do portraits on your wedding day. And what’s more fitting than to shoot their bridal at one of the most memorable places for them: The Avalon Hotel in Catalina! Below are just a few of my favorites from the day.

Huong and Thien’s wedding is coming up in just a few days! I can’t wait :)

I’m just now culling through the images from last weekend’s wedding and I’m so in love with this cuteness! Believe it or not, it was hand made by their super crafty maid-of-honor. More to come!
