When Quyen and I were discussing our maternity shoot, I expressed my vision in detail. I was worried she’d feel uncomfortable with my ideas; but instead, she went with everything I had in mind! She and Elton were such a joy to work with, one would think they do this all the time! :)

I had so much fun shooting this session, I literally had a hard time deciding which photos to post. I’ve finally settled with these twelve. I hope you enjoy viewing these as much as I loved shooting them!

I love the light in their bedroom!

I know I went a bit OTT (Over the Top) with this photo, but Quyen is just sooo beautiful, and even more dazzling with her baby bump, that I couldn’t help but be a little creative with this one!

Quyen and Elton… you guys are the bomb! Maternity sessions are usually made to be soft and delicate, but you guys rocked it like it’s nobody’s business. Thank you for giving me the freedom to go a bit crazy with my ideas. I appreciate your trust!

I’d like to share one photo I took this weekend of the beautiful and radiant Quyen. Mad props to you for braving the cold! More to come very soon!

I met Heather and Jason for the first time the day of our shoot and I knew immediately we’re going to have some awesome photos. Heather is totally one of the prettiest and sexiest pregnant women I have ever met. Yeah, she’s up there with Demi Moore, if you ask me ;) She’s a lot of fun and totally up for anything. The first time we spoke, I mentioned that Jason will be in some of the shots and I told her that I hope Jason isn’t shy. She laughed and said no, and I tell ya, she is right! These two are sooo great in front of the camera that one could think they’re maternity models or something!

I wanted to do a non-typical maternity shoot where instead of focusing too much on the tummy, I instead focused on the love shared by the couple that brought this baby to life.

Can you say Woooow? This is seriously the most favorite shot I’ve taken EVER!

Playing a little bit with off-camera flash. I didn’t bring a light stand, so Jason was the light-man. That’s how I got this cute smile off of Heather, I think. :)
