Family, Kids

My husband and I met with Denise, Joe and their kids today for a fun session at the park and boy, we didn’t expect to have that much fun shooting all 4 of their young kids at once! They are sooo well behaved, which totally surprised us, and I just have to put up a preview for you all to see!

And yeah, they’re all that cute too! More to come soon.

Just Cause

When Estrella (or Tita Estrella, as I now call her) contacted me about shooting her 50th birthday party in September, she immediately wanted to schedule a meet and greet with her and her husband, Tito Arnel. They’re such a fun couple, I swear they had me in stitches all throughout our meeting!

We agreed that a nice mounted print would look great on an easel outside the ballroom, so after booking me to be the photographer for the event, we planned to meet for her portrait session. I thought, well, let’s include your husband in the shoot! After all, she wouldn’t be a radiant 50-year old without the love and support of her husband, right? Might I just add for the record, that she does not look 50 at all!

This session was extra special as I had my hubby assist me that afternoon. Here are a few of my favorites…

Tito Arnel looks like the Filipino actor, Tirso Cruz III!

I totally see this one as an enlargement, don’t you?

This one definitely tops the list!

While we were shooting Tita Estrella’s portraits for her mounted print, I thought it’d be fun to shoot a couple of lovey-dovey shots of the two. Tito Arnel sure was happy to oblige!

I don’t know exactly what he’s whispering in her ear, but he’s got her giggling through this!

This will have to be my most favorite in this set!

Tita Estrella and Tito Arnel, it was great to finally meet you. Thank you for the fun afternoon. I can’t wait for your big bash, I’m sure you’ll look as fabulous as you did on our shoot.

Love from us both,

Engagement

When Anya expressed her interest in having me shoot their engagement photos, I got all excited. I have met her and Philippe a couple of times before from common friends and I just knew these guys will be so much fun and will look beautiful in photos as they do in person.

The pre-session planning included a whole lot of emails exchanged between Anya and me. We swapped ideas on the theme that best suits their character, and agreed on doing an urban/downtown session that I feel would suit their fun-loving personalities. It was a good call, as these two rocked downtown like nobody’s business!

Anya is such a natural! It took a while to get Philippe to loosen up, and when he did, these two were just working it.

My second favorite… You’ll have to scroll down to see my ultimate fave of all!

I love these! We had to do the train shot over a couple of times (the one on the right) as it freaked Anya out having to stand close to the moving train. I think this one worked out alright :)

Aww…

This place has a lot of cool architecture, I was in Photo Heaven!

Whoa, hotness!

Anya is so pretty, I could’ve photographed her all day!

I totally dig this door

Love the ring! (Gives Philippe a good pat in the back) Good job, good job!

Anya checking Philippe out

Hellooo… gorgeous!

I love Anya’s taste in shoes!

This is definitely my ultimate favorite in this entire session!

You know I gotta have some greens!

I just realized I don’t have much of Philippe in the foreground. Here’s one for the groom-to-be!

Anya and Philippe, thank you for trusting my vision… even if it meant being around a fast train, or laying on itchy grass. ;)

Love to you both,
