Family

As a photographer whose work is accessible online, I receive so many emails from prospective clients constantly on a daily basis. I’m one of those that appreciate it when someone takes the time to write me a simple note, whether it be an inquiry on my rates or just saying hello. And to acknowledge my gratitude, I do my best to reply quickly and be as responsive as I possibly can. I have made many friends among my clients who, like me, appreciate a simple act of kindness by “just writing back”.

One of those clients is Abbie. I remember Abbie’s email from several weeks ago, when she first contacted me about possibly doing a session with her and her boyfriend Rey. She was so funny that it almost felt like she was saying her email out loud and in person. In just a few emails I could tell we’d get along just fine ;) When I finally did meet her, she was as hilarious as she was in her writing. I just knew we were going to have a blast, even for a short period of time.

Rey brought his kids Marco and Carlo along for the shoot, who in my opinion, are probably the most easy-going pair of twelve-year olds! They particularly enjoyed this part of the shoot… the throwing of leaves!

These two were so comfy. I’m sure a bridal would be a dream shoot for me. Hint, hint!

I love this one of just the boys! Don’t you just love Fall?

This has got to be my favorite in the entire set! How beautiful are her eyes, seriously?!

I like how Rey looks at Abbie, don’t you? :)

Yay for the creativity! After all, this is a Holiday session ;)

I love the post-process of this image that I just had to include it!

One big happy family! This makes for a cool and unique Christmas card, don’t you agree?

Last one for the road

Abbie, Rey, Marco and Carlo… thank you so much for a fun-filled afternoon. It’s great to finally meet you guys in person! :) Till next time!

Love,

Family

I’ve met Ate Myra before our session; she was our florist at our wedding last year! She did a fabulous job with our flowers, I definitely recommend her if you’re out looking for a florist. Her site happens to be still in the works, so I’ll edit this post with the link when it’s available. I saw her again just weeks ago at Kara and Randy’s wedding. Small world :) She found out about our Holiday Mini Session promo and contacted us about getting their family portraits done for their Holiday Cards.

We were looking forward to a beautiful Southern California afternoon the day of our session. Instead, our venue was hit by a major brush fire that engulfed tons of homes in LA and Orange Counties. The air was bad in Brea and the visibility was poor, so we had no choice but to meet elsewhere. I think the place worked out okay :)

These two were so cute! They giggled non-stop, it was contagious!

The team!

A walk in the park

These two get along so well… I love it!

Bring it in tight!

A little more of mom and dad :)

I normally take credit for making my clients laugh, but this time I have to say, Kuya Cesar had us roaring with laughter like no one else can! I swear he musta been a stand up comedian in his past life. :) Ate Myra, Kuya Cesar and kids… thank you sooo much for a fun afternoon at the park. We hope you had fun as much as we did!

Trash the Dress

All I can say is Wow!

I thought Kara and Randy were totally up for anything when we shot their e-session, but dang!… they’re a LOT more comfy now that they’re married! It really is a dream shoot for any photographer to have such willing clients. :)

When we met with Kara and Randy, it was windy and cool in SoCal. I was worried that Kara wouldn’t be able to last one second in her gown, but nooo… she braved the cold, goosebumps n’ all! Randy on the other hand was miserable with his allergies. We had to pause every couple of minutes so he could blow his nose, poor guy! But allergies or not, there was no way this guy was getting his hands off of her!

When I asked Kara if she was sure about going out in the field in her tall shoes, she goes, “No worries… I climb trees”.
Hello! My kind of girl!

I love, love, love this shot!

You can see how windy it was that day!

The sun was sooo high and bright, it was a challenge to keep the details of the gown intact

This photo is so hot I burn just by looking at it! Tssss…

So in love! I didn’t need to coach much ;)

Um, how gorgeous is she?!

Yes, we totally trashed the dress!

One last, just before sunset…

Kara and Randy, you guys were AMAZING! Thank you for the company, the trust, and most of all, your friendship! Love to you both!
