Kids

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of meeting Miss Ava Sophia, who was born just last week. She was so adorable I couldn’t help baby talking her the entire time. I’m glad her mom was patient with me and didn’t think I was losing my mind. Haha! I did get the baby to smile some though… meaning even babies know I’m such a dork. Ha!

I love how she almost smiles here

She even smiles in her sleep! Didn’t I say I was funny?!

I love her profile. She’s going to be one beautiful young girl. Watch out, world!

Her new skin is peeling still. So precious!

I love this reaction. It’s like saying, “Who, me?”

Her mom calls her the mini burrito :) She does like to wave her arms around though

We were able to grab a couple of shots with her all wrapped up, but she quickly gets bored with it ;)

I loooove baby feet. I could just bite those little toes!

Here she is finally awake

… which didn’t last very long :)

Ah, and my favorite in this set! This calls for a perfect photo card, yes?

Ava Sophia… you make me want to have one just like you! Kisses to you, baby girl! And to Ava’s mom Angie, thank you for inviting me into you home.

Love,

Engagement

I’ve been looking forward to this shoot for months! When my college friend Ruby expressed her interest in having their session done, I wanted to book their shoot right away. I did not intend for our “photography talk” to turn into one of those things that was mentioned in passing. Ruby is truly one of the kindest, friendliest persons I’ve ever met and she and her wonderful husband Craig are just perfect for each other. There’s nothing more I wanted for these two awesome people but to have a beautiful photo of them up on their wall… something they didn’t get to have.

For this session, we opted for a fun urban theme in Orange County. And boy did we have fun!

I love how this door looks like the Japanese flag! I thought it was appropriate as Craig is Japanese ;)

It was getting pretty hot, and I’m not talking about just the weather!

“You and Me”…

These two are naturally pulled together like magnets, can you tell?

I was pretty sure Craig was enjoying his part in this session, haha!

Rowwr! This could belong to a magazine, yes?

I love this wall; so fun and upbeat.

A little hammock action :)

You betta Show Up For Life!

Some “behind-the-scene” vintage.

Nothing could keep these two from smiling! I love it!

There was a bit of disconnect when I asked Craig to get in front of Ruby and look down at her; but when I asked him to pretend to sort of pin her to the wall, well… you can tell it worked out better!

And finally, I save my favorite for last. I loooove this!

Ruby and Craig, thank you for spending the afternoon with us. We had such a fun time with you guys like always.

xoxo,
