Family, Kids

I am so excited to post this session so I put this entry together in one sitting. This, after all, is not just any family… they are my family: my sister Aiden, brother-in-law (BIL) Miki and nephew KC. My sissy and BIL actually have 3 kids, KC’s the youngest. The two did not make the trip from Taiwan as they’re in school. I’m looking forward to the day I get to visit Taiwan again to see them.

My sister was in town for only two full days. After the first day, she and the family flew to Denver for her convention and some skiing. They flew back 5 days later only to stay just one day before they leave back for Taiwan. But we were able to squeeze some time to take a few photos in between shopping :)

My nephew KC is incredibly shy. My sister was worried he wouldn’t smile, but you know me… I’m extremely persistent! And when this boy smiles, he shows the cutest dimples.

I love the nostalgic feel of this.

My sister describes this as the “Adam and Eve” shot. Hahaha!

It’s amazing how quickly these two can be in their own little bubble :)

I had to do this shot, even if KC got too tall since I last saw him.

My sister is actually years older, but dang she looks much younger than me! Must be the Chinese herbs :p

I love this tree! KC had so much fun with it

Here’s another one from this cutie pie

Sooo hot!

Would you believe it if I told you these guys have been married over 15 years? It’s hard to tell huh?

It’s a bird… it’s a plane… no it’s Super KC!

There were ducks on this lake, but I guess I scared them away

And my favorite in this entire session :)

To my beautiful sister Aiden, my BIL Miki and KC — thank you so much for letting me photograph you that day. I enjoyed it very much! It’s not everyday I get to order my older sister around. Haha!

Family

I cannot wait to post these photos from my last session! These are extra special to me as I photographed my gorgeous sister Aiden, my wonderful brother-in-law Miki and my super cute nephew KC. They visited from Taiwan last week.

I’m processing a whole bunch, and this one caught my attention. More to come soon!

Engagement

Mae and Jay are getting married in two months! They’ve been very hands on with their planning details, and of course, everything has to be flawless, including their pre-wedding portraits.

For our session, Mae wanted to shoot around downtown Monrovia for some urban themed photos. When she showed me the printouts for every location she wanted to visit, I knew it was going to be a good day :)

I’m sad I won’t be shooting their wedding in May as they contracted their photographer way before we met, but I’m happy to say that they are in great hands as my good friend and rock star photographer John Ong will be documenting it.

Mae was at first worried about Jay not being in the groove of things, but I think he did great!

I’m tellin’ ya, Mae found the best locations! She made my job easy ;)

I like how Jay looks so easy and cool in the shot

You know why this door is so special? Hint: 5/16

I like “leaning” shots like these… for me, it portrays trust

You can almost tell how much a man loves a woman by the way he looks at her

They will no longer be “just dating” in a matter of weeks!

Mae is glowing, can you tell?

We cannot forget an important detail — the bling!

It gets hot from this point on, and I don’t mean just the weather

I think that’s how I got Jay to cooperate… I promised him a lot of these!

He seemed happy to indulge…

OMG Mae, this is just sizzling! Doesn’t she remind you of a certain Filipino singer? Can you guess who?

And one last… (not for the faint of heart)

Mae and Jay, thank you sooo much for a fun afternoon. Enjoy the rest of your planning and here’s to a beautiful wedding!
