It was a hot day at Lacy Park the day I had a session with Saira and her daughter Moira. And although I was extremely antsy with the heat, I couldn’t help enjoying this “day at the park” with these two. Moira is a curious ten-year old who was very intrigued with my camera. After every couple of shots, she would say, “Can I see”?… and me being quite amused by her curiosity, would let her take a shot or two :) Below are just some of my favorites from this session…

A little backlit sun flare action without the flare ;)

Going old school…

I love the closeness of these two! I didn’t have to coach much ;)

I’m sure you’ll agree when I say they look so much like sisters!

There’s some cool looking trees there, so we took advantage

I love this series of shots of Moira having fun in the slide!

I thought this was very cute, don’t you?

Aww… I love how intimate this shot looks

The rose garden at Lacy Park is so pretty we just had to shoot there

This is one of the very few serious shots I took… I love their thoughtful look here

Some more of that fun swing action of Moira

… and of course Saira too!

I love this one by that tree. I know they look isolated here, but the park was packed that day!

Don’t you just adore Moira’s doe eyes?

And last but certainly not the least… my favorite ;)

Saira and Moira, thank you for the awesome afternoon at the parK! I had such a fabulous time hanging out with you!

I am so much in awe of Saira for being such an extraordinary mother, having to raise her daughter Moira by herself. The closeness they share was so captivating, I couldn’t get enough of these two! While I’m in the process of selecting the ones to post, here’s one that stood out. There’s more coming soon!
